The wind direction will determine which club you use of the tee. The water is 280 yards from the blue tee but the last fifty yards are downhill, so the ball can end up in the water. Try and land on the plateau which is 230 yards from the tee. You then make the decision whether you use the left or right fairway. Left is wider and longer, so more margin for error and the right is narrower and shorter and any shot hit to the left half of the fairway tends to end up in the water. Remember that over the wall is out of bounds.
Director of Golf Tip
Check the wind direction before you tee off. If it is downwind, then do not use your driver. A long iron or rescue club should give you the distance you want. If you are a straight hitter, then the right fairway will shorten the hole but if you are in any doubt, then the left fairway is a safer option.
